It is estimated that 3.2 billion people use the internet!
If the above is true, then, we can safely say that “Everyone is online now in one way or the other”. And the reality is that, that is where we spend most of our time; scrolling, uploading, downloading, streaming… these aspects of lives have taken precedence and taken up bulk proportion of our daily lives.
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LiknedIn and Snapchat are all funnels for us to broadcast ourselves online to a limitless audience – if this does not so much directly apply to you, just look around you, your immediate environment; neighbourhood, family, work, et al.

This is great for exposure, getting yourself out there and showing the world who you are or what image and impression you want the world to have of you – false or real.

But the internet is still figuring itself out, it is still not fully formed yet – it changes in the blink of an eye. The internet from 1995 compared with the internet of 2021 is a wholly different place. So you can see that we are still figuring it out, too. Who knows where it will be in 2030?

Online Socializing
ONLINE SOCIALIZING FREE 00:45:00
  • It is the process through which the individuals internalize and learn the rules and values of a specific social and cultural context through the virtual relational spaces that are created on the online network. This concept is displacing the former socialization concept, as the new technologies create new virtual socialization spaces beyond the family, the educational system and the labour market. These new online socialization contexts do not refer to a specific space and time but in many cases they are created spontaneously and overlapped on the network arising virtual learning and socialization communities.
